Opposition councillors are set to challenge a new flag flying policy.

Reform UK-led Warwickshire County Council voted earlier this month to take the decision-making power away from the chief executive Monica Fogarty, in a row over the Progress Pride flag.

Councillor George Finch, leader of the council, had asked Ms Fogarty to take down the Pride flag outside of Shire Hall, in Warwick, during Pride Month.

Ms Fogarty was said to have refused to do so and the council's cabinet voted to hand the decision-making power to the council chairman and Reform councillor Edward Harris.
