SOUTH HADLEY, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - As tuition for four-year colleges and universities across the country continues to rise, one western Massachusetts school wants families to know that attending their institute of high learning is in reach and to not count them out before applying.
Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley announced Friday that it will be offering free tuition to any U.S. family with an income up to $150,000. The announcement comes after other schools such as Harvard and Tufts University announced similar pledges this year and they said they intend to work with families to create financial aid packages, which are funded by donors and Lyon alums to help make an education at the college within reach.
