Thousands of volunteers pack meals for families in need on 9/11

NEW YORK (PIX11) -- The unity of New Yorkers in the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks helped inspire what is now the largest day of service in the country.

Thanks to thousands of volunteers, the 9/11 Day New York City Meal Pack is providing millions of meals to local families in need.
