State police have responded to a crash involving a motorcycle and a car in Beacon Falls and they the motorcyclist has serious injuries.

The crash happened on Beacon Valley Road and state police said the road is closed.

Police said the motorcyclist was taken to Waterbury Hospital Trauma Center.

Anyone who is traveling in the area is asked to seek alternate routes.
