“Being the Sutherland Cup champions, that’s probably going to be in every coach’s pre-game speech,” new head coach and general manager Brennan Feasey said. “The Chatham Maroons are the standard of this league and I don’t think there’s going to be an easy night for us.
“I think we have to go into every game very prepared. If we do that, I think we’re going to be very successful.”
The Maroons kick off the regular season Saturday in Strathroy. They’ll host a banner-raising ceremony Sunday before the home opener against the St. Thomas Stars at 7 p.m. at Chatham Memorial Arena.
