DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) -- The mother of a man who shot and killed a Darlington County deputy in early July has been released from jail on a $100,000 personal recognizance bond, online records show.
Linda Dennett, 77, was released on Monday. She was booked into the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center on July 3 on charges of misprision of a felony and obstruction of justice and posted a $50,000 bond for each charge.
Her son, Cameron Dennett, allegedly shot and killed 27-year-old deputy Devin Mason and injured another deputy before he was killed. Linda is accused of telling authorities she didn’t know the location of Cameron when they arrived at her home, telling them to leave.
Mason and his partner, who has since been released from the hospital, responded at about 2:10 a.m. July 1
