KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A critical piece of the Philadelphia Eagles offense will not be playing at Arrowhead Stadium during Sunday’s Super Bowl rematch.
The Eagles ruled tight end Dallas Goedert out with a knee injury for Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Goedert, a 30-year-old who has played all eight seasons of his career in Philadelphia, had a team-high nine targets and seven receptions in Week 1 as the Eagles beat the Cowboys 24-20.
Earlier this year in Super Bowl 59, Goedert had two receptions for 27 yards as the Eagles denied the Chiefs of a three-peat in New Orleans.
Backup running back Will Shipley is also out for the Eagles with an oblique injury.
The Chiefs and Eagles will kick off at 3:25 p.m. CT on Sunday.
