King Charles's unusual personal habits have 'never changed'

Royal insider Paul Burrell has disclosed His Majesty the King's rigid daily routine, asserting the 76 year old monarch has consistently required his staff to follow extraordinarily strict procedures.

Burrell, who commenced his Royal service as a footman at Buckingham Palace at merely 18 years old, moved to Highgrove House in Gloucestershire to join the then Prince of Wales's household in 1987.

For a decade, he worked as both attendant and trusted adviser to Princess Diana – maintaining that he was "the only man she ever trusted."

His relationship with the princess, nevertheless, stayed significantly more formal, he discloses.
