NEWBURY, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) - Vermont's Department of Transportation said Friday afternoon that U.S. Route 302 was closed to all traffic. They then said that the road was open westbound, but is still closed in one direction.

The closure is expected to last for about two hours, said authorities as of 3:38 p.m.

The closure is reportedly due to a crash and is near Welch Road and the southbound on- and off-ramps of Interstate 91.

Drivers in the area should take alternate routes, such as by Boltonville and E Roads.
