Even with Bill Belichick beginning a new chapter in college football, speculation hasn’t ceased about an NFL comeback.

Colin Cowherd laid out a scenario that New England Patriots fans may not appreciate. The Fox Sports pundit suggested Belichick as a candidate to coach the Miami Dolphins on his podcast earlier this week.

“What about Belichick?” Cowherd asked. “Got a place in Jupiter, doesn’t he? Miami loves sex appeal.”

Co-host John Middlekauff first mentioned Belichick jokingly when wondering who could be this offseason’s splashy coaching hire a la Mike Vrabel last winter. Middlekauff speculated that the Dolphins could pursue more established college head coaches such as Georgia’s Kirby Smart or Ohio State’s Ryan Day to replace Mike McDaniel.
