LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -- Newly released body camera footage provides more details about a "disruptive" weekend in downtown East Lansing on Aug. 23.
The video, made public by the City of East Lansing, shows 21-year-old Nathan Leslie Warner pulling a knife from a bag at Ann Street Plaza in front of five police officers. Officers immediately ordered Warner to drop the knife and get on the ground, according to a news release. Audio is not available on the video until after Warner is arrested.
The footage and surveillance show Warner putting the knife back in the bag and raising his arms, but he does not get on the ground as ordered. An officer then tases Warner. After his arrest, Warner can be heard saying, "I didn't do anything" as he is escorted to a police SUV in an alley.
