BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Earl Johnson, the man accused of killing 34-year-old Janice David in Baton Rouge back in 2022, was found guilty of first-degree murder.

During closing statements, the state argued Johnson continued to justify the act because he knew the difference between right and wrong.

“In the video, he told you exactly what he was doing, and he did it in front of you, and he wanted to do it that way, but that doesn’t mean that he is insane,” Dana Cummings, the state’s attorney, said.
