STERLING, Ill. (KWQC) - CIMCO Recycling in Sterling saw its sixth fire in a year Thursday, officials say.

Fire and heavy smoke could be seen by crews as they came to the 13000 block of Galt Road at 4:19 p.m., officials said.

The Sterling Fire Department said recycling materials outside of the CIMCO facility were on fire.

Officials said the fire was out within two hours.

Several crews were on scene including Rock Falls, Milledgeville, Dixon Rural, Tampico, Morrison, Amboy and Polo Fire Departments.
