A Mason City woman is facing felony charges for allegedly stealing from a dependent adult.

Angel Marie Mannette, 26, made her initial appearance Friday before a Cerro Gordo County magistrate on charges of ongoing criminal conduct, a Class B felony, and second-degree theft, a Class D felony.

Mannette, the payee for the dependent adult, stole $2,250 from the individual between June 2024 and January 2025 and used the funds for her personal needs, according to a Mason City Police Department criminal complaint.

She has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Sept. 29.
