Agriculture producers met with Gov. Greg Gianforte to discuss opportunities, challenges and the future of agriculture at a Billings fourth-generation farm on Wednesday.

Producers at the Northern Ag Network-led For the Farmers roundtable expressed optimism about the future with Gianforte, even with continued challenges like the consolidation of farm land and fraught economics.

“Probably the main thing right now is just making sure you’re willing to survive,” fourth-generation farmer Rick Kraft told the crowd gathered at a shed at his farm.
