GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (WBAY) - The Grand Chute Police Department honored one of their own on Friday, as police chief Greg Peterson is set to retire.
Peterson served 45 years in law enforcement. He started his career as a patrol officer in the Appleton Police Department.
When Appleton and Grand Chute considered merging police services, Peterson acted as Grand Chute’s interim chief for 20 months, and in 2010, he applied to be Grand Chute’s police chief.
The event took place during the Grand Chute town board meeting, where he was recognized for his career, leadership, and the lasting impact he made on the community.
