BRODHEAD, Wis. (WKOW) — The week of Sept. 8 - 12 marks Disability Voting Rights Week -- a week dedicated to empowering and encouraging voters with disabilities.

President Donald Trump said on multiple posts on Truth Social he wants to lead a movement to eliminate mail-in and machine voting . The proposed change has raised concerns among people with disabilities in Wisconsin about their ability to vote in the next election.

Sydney Badeau, a rural Wisconsin voter with a disability that prevents her from driving, relies on mail-in voting.

"I'm 32—I don't want to ask my parents take me to the polls. Kind of gets rid of your independence in some ways," Badeau said.
