Rivals have certainly reunited this week, as Greeley West and Northridge entered play on Friday night looking to engage in their heated rivalry on the gridiron. Ditto for longtime small-school football powers Eaton and Platte Valley.

But for those of you who were unable to clear their schedules for those particular clashes Friday night, no reason to fret.

There are plenty of other intriguing rivalries to keep an eye on in the coming days and weeks.

Among them, Greeley West hits the road to take on Northridge on the softball diamond at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Greeley Central and Greeley West will renew their back-and-forth rivalry on the football field at District 6 Stadium at 7 p.m. Sept. 26.
