Gillette College women’s head soccer coach Anthony Longo brought in 11 freshmen to the team as he put an emphasis on bettering the team’s depth. Through long months of recruiting and endless travels through the country, the depth arrived.
Two of those freshmen, Amber Ogbolu and Lexi Wells, have made some noise in their short time so far in Gillette as they’ve helped lead the women’s soccer team to its best start in program history.
The Pronghorns have scored 32 goals this season en route to a 5-3 start, and 23 of those goals have come from Wells and Ogbolu.
