COMMON CENTS : A 35-year-old woman prevented a 76-year-old man from getting scammed Thursday afternoon. The woman was at Common Cents when she overheard the 76-year-old talking to someone on the phone as he was trying to deposit $16,000 into a Bitcoin machine at the store. She called police, and when they arrived they explained to the man that he was being scammed, said Police Deputy Chief Brent Wasson. There were no details of the scam in the police press report. Police took the man back to the bank to re-deposit the $16,000.
