SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — For the first time since her husband was shot and killed on the Utah Valley University campus on September 10, 2025, Erika Kirk is speaking publicly.

Charlie Kirk, co-founder of Turning Point USA and conservative influencer, was shot and killed at an event at Utah Valley University. The shooter has been identified as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, who has been taken into custody.

In the wake of the shooting, Vice President JD Vance flew to Utah on Air Force Two, alongside Second Lady Usha Vance and Erika Kirk. From there, they transported Kirk's casket to Arizona. Erika Kirk spoke on the feelings of loss her family felt and the support they've received.
