CINCINNATI —
Members of the United Auto Workers union and GE Aerospace have reached a tentative agreement on new contracts for workers at the plants in Evendale, Ohio, and Erlanger, Kentucky, according to a UAW spokesperson.
It comes after a multi-week strike by the union, with members picketing outside both plants since late August. Advertisement
According to the UAW, the five-year agreement allows for additional personal time for members, vacation time increases and no changes to strike language.
The workers’ previous contract expired on Aug. 27, with workers citing job security, health care costs and time off as sticking points for a strike.
