WOODFORD COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) — A multiple-vehicle collision on Friday blocked portions of I-64 West at mile marker 60.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) said I-64 westbound is closed between Midway (exit 65) and US60/Frankfort (exit 58) for an indefinite period of time.

Frankfort-Franklin County Office of Emergency Management shared an image of the crash on Facebook around 7:19 p.m.

The image appears to show multiple semi-trucks on fire, and a large fire.

At 7:36 p.m., Woodford County’s mass notification system reported that traffic was being diverted, and drivers should expect increased travel time.

At 8:57 p.m., KYTC clarified that traffic was being diverted at Exit 65 to US 421 at Midway to US 60 at Frankfort and back onto I-64 at Exit 58.

This is a developing story. Sta
