COLUMBUS, Ohio — Shots were fired Friday night near a west Columbus high school during a football game, according to a public safety dispatcher.

The dispatcher said three shots were detected near West High School, located on South Powell Avenue, but were not fired at the game .

No injuries were reported.

A spokesperson with Columbus City Schools told 10TV that the game ended at the third quarter due to reported gunfire in an adjacent neighborhood. They said teams and fans left the stadium safely.

No additional information about what led to the shots or a possible suspect was immediately available.
