For the second night in a row, the Toledo Mud Hens put up double-digit runs against the Louisville Bats, winning 12-4 on Friday at Fifth Third Field.
Jace Jung and Max Anderson both went 4-for-5 with two RBIs in the win, while four other players had multi-hit games.
It was Louisville that got on the board first. Ryan Vilade’s RBI double opened the scoring in the top of the second.
The Mud Hens responded immediately, however, with two runs in the bottom of the second to take a lead they never relinquished. Anderson and Brian Serven both came up with RBI singles in the inning.
Toledo piled on with a four-run third inning that featured a two-run double by Jung, an RBI groundout by Anderson, and a run-scoring single by Serven.
Louisville cut the deficit to 6-3 with two runs in the fourth.
