CLEVELAND, Ohio — One swing is sometimes all it takes to turn things around at the plate for a big league hitter, especially in the case of a rookie with fewer than 35 games under his belt.

When Guardians outfielder C.J. Kayfus connected for a go-ahead two-run home run Thursday that propelled Cleveland to a 3-2 victory and a series win against the Royals at Progressive Field, the Florida native said the emotion of the moment was unlike anything he has ever experienced.
