LAREDO, TX. — The University of Jamestown men’s soccer team gave up two second half goals and it cost them in a 3-1 loss to Texas A&M International University on Friday, Sept. 12, at the Dustdevils’ Dustdevil Soccer Field.

The Jimmies (1-2) got off to a fast start when Felipe Costa scored just over four minutes into the game to give the Jimmies a 1-0 lead. The score stayed that way until the 20th minute when a Dustdevil (1-0-2) was taken down in the box, leading to Chris Fuentes to step up and slot home the equalizer.

The game remained deadlocked until midway through the second half when the Dustdevils’ Heiko Droemer scored to push his team in front 2-1. The hosts added one more in the 75th minute from Byron Aguilar to take the two goal lead.
