GREEN BAY, Wis. — For so much of his rookie season, Jayden Daniels could have been mistaken for a magician. With miraculous throws and swerving scrambles, he often dragged the Washington Commanders back into tight games, thriving in the clutch, somehow managing to pull something amazing out of his proverbial hat.

It is a new year, however. And Thursday night against the Green Bay Packers was different. This time, the magic on the turf at Lambeau Field wasn’t in Daniels’ arm. It was in Jordan Love’s precision, Matt LaFleur’s game plan, Micah Parsons’ speed around the edge — and, just as everyone expected, the gloves of Green Bay tight end Tucker Kraft, often seen streaking down the seams.
