SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Friday morning, the eighth annual Sanford International kicked off at the Minnehaha Country Club.
However, before the start of the tournament, the Sanford Children’s Hospital Ambassador was first as he had the ceremonial opening tee shot.
On hole 1 of the Minnehaha Country Club, people gathered for the start of the Sanford International.
There were hundreds of fans and even public officials, but one kid outshone them all.
“I just came home from school and they said, ‘Hey, you’re the ambassador,’ and I was like, ‘Wait, what?’ So I got excited about that,” said Emmett Zorr.
Emmett Zorr is the ninth Sanford Children’s Hospital Ambassador, and he’s been golfing since he was 4 years old
