Mayor Paul Lefebvre hopes to amplify the Indigenous voice at city hall.

During the council meeting on Tuesday, Lefebvre introduced a motion directed at establishing an Indigenous advisory panel.

“I have many engagements with our Indigenous partners in the community, and I feel it’s important to formalize that relationship, and to get the public to see the efforts that are being made and the great relationship-building we are doing, and how we’re learning together,” he told his colleagues. “I think this is one way we can showcase that and be transparent with the public, about our Calls to Action as a community.”
