Compass Academy had a homecoming night it would never forget.
The Cougars recorded their first victory against Reagan County in the program’s six-year history, winning 41-8 Friday night at Ratliff Stadium.
Playing in a nondistrict game on homecoming night, the Cougars also improved to 3-0 for the first time in school history.
The Owls fell to 1-2.
It was quite the turnaround from last year’s game in which Reagan County won 38-7
“Everyone win is big,” Compass Academy head coach Boe Smith said. “It’s one of those things where we’re learning how to practice correctly. We were pretty sloppy tonight. I think we need to clean a lot of things up. We can’t do that versus a team like Idalou next week. We need to make sure that we’re preparing to win.”
