MOORHEAD — Park Christian wide receiver Logan Giese scooped up the opening kickoff around the 21-yard line along the left hashmarks and veered towards the right side.

As he broke a tackle down the right sideline and evaded the Pine River-Backus kicker, Giese’s eyes got wide looking at all the wide open space in front of him.

“I was just trying to turn on the jets,” Giese said. “(When you) see that green grass, (you) got to go.”

Giese hustled 79 yards to the house igniting the lively Falcons faithful. It was the first of a four touchdown night for Giese in Park Christian’s 48-8 win over the Tigers in Minnesota Class A football Friday night at Jake Christiansen Stadium at Concordia College.

“I joke that he loves scoring touchdowns,” said Falcons head coach Matt Baasch.
