MUNSTER — When people hear the name "Allegretti" at Andrean, it usually brings football to mind.

Senior defensive end Rocco Allegretti is the latest in a long line of family members to wear the 59ers uniform. He follows his brother Vinny Allegretti, a 2021 graduate, as well as his father and two uncles, who played at Father Eckert Stadium in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

"It means a lot —just continuing the legacy of my family and my brother," Rocco Allegretti said. "I'm just following in their footsteps and making something of myself."

Coach Chris Skinner refers to Allegretti as the "heartbeat of the defense" — something he proved Friday as Andrean (3-1) shut down Munster (0-4) in a 30-7 Northwest Crossroads Conference victory. The 59ers limited the Mustangs to just 57
