A 42-year-old man was arrested in Tuolumne County on Friday in connection with a deadly stabbing outside of a San Francisco elementary school, the police department said.
Officers responded to the stabbing on Wednesday just after 4:30 p.m. in the area of Junipero Serra Boulevard and Ocean Avenue, near Commodore Sloat Elementary School.
According to KTVU , the victim, identified as 35-year-old Robert Paul Byrd II, was crossing the street with his son around school pickup time when he got into some sort of argument with the suspect. The suspect then fatally stabbed Byrd.
San Francisco police said the suspect, Daniel Patrick Rodriguez Jr., was arrested just before 9 a.m. Friday.
