LONG BEACH — Turnovers and defensive struggles plagued Wilson football as it suffered its first loss of the season, 41-7 against Dana Hills, on Friday night.
Down just 14-7 at the start of the second quarter, it looked like Wilson could climb back into the game, but that wasn’t the case.
The Dolphins went on to score 27 unanswered points and handed the Bruins their first loss under first-year head coach Raudric Curtis.
“We climbed back from behind before but, as the game started to get away it really reveals a space of growth that we need to close,” said Curtis.
Dana Hills came out swinging in the first half with a stellar performance by sophomore quarterback Carson Anderson, who threw three touchdown passes.
He finished the night with four touchdowns and passed for 267 yards.
