MACON, Ga. — Sandy Colbert says she struggles to speak about her older sister Teasha's death. The 42-year-old was found stuffed in a trash can Thursday morning at the Sanford Arms apartment complex .

"She didn't deserve that, she was more than that," Sandy said.

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office said Thursday they are investigating Teasha's death as a homicide and that her death may be due to a "domestic situation".

Sandy says her sister lived down the street from an ex-boyfriend at the Sanford Arms. She also says Teasha had multiple encounters with him in the months before she died.

"He would take her porch light while she was at work, or he would get her mail and throw it away, she would catch him peeping through her windows," Sandy said. "But nothing physical."
