WARREN – Romeo was searching for a win – any kind of win Friday.

The Bulldogs got it in an unusual way.

Trailing 7-0 in the first quarter, Romeo scored 34 straight points on Utica Eisenhower and then held on in the end for a 34-28 Macomb Area Conference Red Division victory over host Eisenhower in a game played at Warren Cousino.

Senior Josh Lochbiler intercepted Eisenhower quarterback Owen Thomas at the Romeo 3-yard line on a fourth-and-five play with 1:09 to play to seal the deal and halt Eisenhower’s second-half comeback.

Romeo (1-2, 1-0) avoided a 0-3 start with Lochbiler’s heroics and heady play of not running too far out before downing the ball after the interception.
