A plan setting out proposed locations for thousands of homes across a Kent district has been put out for public consultation. Some of the most controversial allocations for homes around Canterbury, Whitstable and Herne Bay have been scrapped, but others described the process as like a game of "whack-a-mole" with new sites elsewhere instead.
