The lump on Delilah-Rai's face was initially the size of a pea

A mother has spoken of her anguish after her young daughter died of cancer following the discovery of a lump on her face.

Kayleigh Reid discovered the pea-sized growth whilst bathing Delilah-Rai Reid-Floyd in January this year.

The mother promptly arranged a GP appointment the next day, with the doctor referring Delilah-Rai to Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley.

During the subsequent days, her parents faced accusations of causing harm to their child, Kayleigh said.

The mother, who has four other children aged 11, seven, three and four months, explained: "When we first found the lump, I was worried as it's always said about lumps potentially being cancerous, but I did think it could be a cyst ," reports Birmingham
