WAYNE — Mingo Central and Wayne looked destined for an old-fashioned defensive slugfest on Friday night at Pioneer Field.
The two teams were knotted up at 7-all with time winding down in the game as both offenses were struggling to score, but the Miners exploded for 21 points over a stretch of 4:12 in the fourth quarter to pull away for a 28-7 win and improve to 3-0.
