Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old from Utah, has been arrested for allegedly shooting and killing conservative activist Charlie Kirk, with investigators still probing the motive behind the incident. Authorities noted that Robinson had become more political in recent years and had expressed his dislike for Kirk, even mentioning that Kirk would be on the campus where he was later shot.

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox announced the arrest, saying, "Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, we got him."

Authorities reported that Robinson fired a single shot, ending Kirk's life. Cox explained that a family member of Robinson reached out to a family friend, who then contacted the Washington County Sheriff's Office with information that Robinson had confessed or implied his involvement in the incident.
