HOUSTON – Ryan Staub had the magic touch at Folsom Field last week.
In the Houston heat, Colorado’s sophomore quarterback melted.
“Staub didn’t play well,” CU head coach Deion Sanders said after the Buffaloes’ 36-20 loss to Houston at TDECU Stadium on Friday night. “I saw what you saw. He did not play well today. It wasn’t his best, to say the least.”
Making just his second career start – and his first since Nov. 25, 2023 – Staub completed just 19-of-35 passes for 204 yards and a touchdowns, while being intercepted twice. He also fumbled twice, but didn’t lose either one.
