A local, mostly dry Nor’easter is settling in along our coastline on Saturday, bringing windy and hazardous conditions to our waterways.

Northeast winds will be gusty up to 40 mph along coastal Duval, Nassau, St. Johns, and Flagler counties today; therefore, a Wind Advisory is in effect Saturday until 8 p.m. Gusty winds can move lawn furniture and cause high-profile vehicles to sway on area bridges.

A Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect through 8 p.m. Sunday. Minor coastal flooding during high tide is possible in parking lots, parks, and roads.

Additionally, there’s a high rip current risk throughout the weekend. Always swim near a lifeguard and with a buddy. Even strong swimmers can get pulled into a rip current.
