NEWTON — Catawba County Emergency Services has promoted William Butler to serve as EMS manager beginning Sept. 13. Butler has been with Catawba County EMS since 2011 working to provide essential medical services for citizens.

Butler brings significant EMS experience and leadership to his new role, most recently working as an EMS shift supervisor. Prior to that he served as an EMT, paramedic, FTO and EMS crew chief.

“As a lifelong resident of Catawba County, I have a deep and personal commitment to the health and well-being of our community,” said Butler. “I take great pride in the essential services we provide to both our residents and visitors, and I’m eager to take on this role.”
