Animal bite

400 block of N. Main St.: An officer was called to Johnson Memorial Hospital at 8:28 p.m. Thursday after a woman reported she was bit by a dog while walking with her husband on the 400 block of N. Main St. The dog became interested in the woman as she walked by and she held her hand out to greet the dog when it jumped hp and bit her upper left arm. The dog was being walked by another woman, who told police the dog got in front of her and jumped up and bit the first woman. The dog had never done it before and was up to date on its vaccines. The dog didn’t show any signs of aggression before the incident. Johnson County Animal Control was contacted.
