Visiting Laker found a way to make itself at home in “The Backyard” of Cass City.
Matching the Red Hawks hit-for-hit, the No. 8-ranked Lakers prevailed in a thrilling 18-13 slugfest in the Big Thumb Conference White.
“Winning at Cass City is always a big deal because of the environment,” Laker coach Dave LeVasseur said. “Our guys ground out some very tough downs on offense and defense, and we won the downs that counted.”
