DILWORTH, Minn. — The Dilworth Police Department is investing in facial recognition technology that will aid officers in investigations, according to the department’s chief.
The Dilworth Police Department is taking out a three-year contract with Clearview AI, a facial recognition software company. On Monday, Sept. 8, the Dilworth City Council unanimously approved a three-year contract between the department and Clearview AI.
Police Chief Hunter Rawson said the company pitched its facial recognition software to the police department.
“This one just resonated with me when I saw the potential for it,” he said.
