FARGO — The future of environmental efforts in Fargo is top-of-mind as the city of Fargo’s Sustainability and Resiliency Committee prepares to disband going into 2026.
Discussion was short during the committee’s second-to-last meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 9.
There was no action during the meeting, but city leaders handed the microphone over to the group’s newest member: 11th-grade Fargo student Setiya Hamidi.
Tuesday was the first meeting for youth representative Hamidi.
While Fargo’s Sustainability and Resiliency committee is coming to an end following a vote by the Fargo City Commission, Hamidi’s environmental ambitions are only getting started.
