OKC's Jewel Theater to host first event during restoration

Two years ago, the walls of the Jewel Theater were pocked with gaps where bricks were missing, with a small tree growing through a hole near the aging structure's rotting roofline, and the historic building seemed one forceful Oklahoma thunderstorm away from total ruin.

Nowadays, the stubborn tree is gone, along with the gaps in the walls and the air of neglect, at the Northeast Oklahoma City landmark.
