Trinity football narrowly missed the shut out, as the Shamrocks took down Susquenita on Friday, 48-3.

The Shamrocks strengthened their 18-0 lead after one quarter behind a pick-six from Caleb Klepeiss to start the second. Sam Sweppenheiser, who finished with two touchdowns, put the Trinity lead to 28-0 at halftime, off a 7-yard touchdown run.

Leading 5-0 to start the game, following a safety and field goal, Trinity took the lid off the end zone with 5:28 left in the opening quarter on a 16-yard reception by Sweppenheiser from Marcus Yeager.
